Brightengale and pubs share a timeless connection, and when it comes to Saint Arnold Brewing Company, the oldest craft brewery in Texas, it's not just about beer; it's about creating an unforgettable experience. In our latest collaboration, we brought a soulful touch to their space by enhancing their audio-visual (AV) setup. Since they opened their doors to the new beer garden in Houston, the old beer hall was due for a new purpose.
More users, more pain points
Saint Arnold Brewing Company approached Brightengale with a need for screens to enhance visual engagement. As we stepped into the space and talked to the team, the frustrations went beyond the visual — one of the pain points was having to download a separate app for wireless viewing. Controlling the system also posed challenges. Enter Q-SYS, our audio and control processor, simplifying operations and boosting reliability, now effortlessly managed through a central iPad that the team can access.
Hearing how the room was now being used allowed for appropriate design solutions for the space. The objective for this space is to be available for rent by different companies. Therefore, seamless integration that is easy for everyone to use is crucial.
Solution beyond the screen
We strategically installed additional screens, ensuring optimal visibility from the large beer hall space. Brightengale introduced a user-friendly interface with a one-touch control system for adjusting screens up and down. With a one-touch control system, adjusting screens became easy to navigate, allowing for quick adaptations to the varying needs of different events hosted at the brewery.
We implemented a state-of-the-art Barco click-share system. It allows guests and staff to effortlessly share content on the screens, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere. Additionally, the video switch system was expanded to accommodate future private event spaces, providing flexibility and scalability. With that, we added wireless microphones into the setup to be able to project out.
Tradition meets technology
As the beer garden expanded, the old beer hall transformed into a versatile event space without compromising the soul of the brews. While the essence of the beer remains untouched, our recent upgrades brought a touch of sophistication to the brewery setting. The added technology not only enhances the space's versatility for corporate events or gatherings but also seamlessly blends with the pub's iconic historical charm.
