Case Study: Indoor Cycling Studio in Houston

THE STORY

In 2012, Spin Studio set out to ‘revolutionize’ indoor cycling. As the studio’s owners were planning to expand their business in Houston, they had a very clear vision for the future of their classes.

Lighting and sound can really make or break an indoor cycling experience, so Spin Studio wanted to kick it up a notch and deliver something very new and different: a dynamic combination of powerful sound, dramatic lighting, and the intensity of the workout itself, all in a soundproof room.

There’s a fun challenge in creating grandiose audiovisual output in a small space. Imagine the magnitude of a live concert in a space the size of a living room.

THE SOLUTION

Our team got started just as the new studios were breaking ground. We brought our equipment into an existing studio and began conducting on-site testing and concepting. We embraced the challenge and continuously tested and experimented with new ideas of the clients’.

The end result was a truly novel experience for the Spin Studio community. It wasn’t long before the eye-catching visuals and powerful sound of their indoor cycling classes caught the attention of competitors in neighboring cities. Today, you will find similar installations in other studios, but we still believe Spin Studio has the best quality.

Since that first installation, we have worked with Spin Studio on seven other projects. We believe that aligning with the client’s vision on day 1 is what makes a great partnership from the start.

PRODUCTS WE USED:

- Network infrastructure

- Security cameras

- Live sound reinforcement

- Theatrical lighting

- Custom lighting for signage

- Stage lighting

Spin Studio was our first experience turning a fitness facility into a nightclub. We had to take a lot of small pieces and optimize them to be convenient for the instructors to use. All by the click of a button.
